Rescue Mission Homeless Lives Matter
Donation protected
After traveling throughout the country i have discovered that Americanot only has a violence problem but a homeless problem as well, and while we as activist struggle with solutions for violence i believe we should never struggle with the solution of helping men, women and children that for whatever reason may be Homeless.
This Holiday season the members of New Beginnings Church want to help the homeless in our city, we are going to purchase gifts for the homeless from now until the New Year and even throughout 2015 if funds are available. We want to give away new coats, new blankets, hats, gloves, and warm clothing wear to help during this difficult season.
In August of this year my entire house burned down and I lost everything and the only reason I didnt end up homeless is because of my family, everyone is not blessed with family, so please help me help them. There are slogans all over America that says Black Lives Matter, and I do support that movement, but my new slogan is Homeless Lives Matter, so if you can give into our cause and our ministry and we promise that we will be a blessing to those that are in need.
Area Pastor extends homeless experience through Christmas Night
Pastor Carlton Lynch of New Beginnings Church successfully spent a night homeless and raised enough money to provide 100 coats for the less fortunate men, women and children in our community. After developing friendships with area homeless men, Pastor Lynch has decided to eat with them at The Rescue Mission during the Christmas meal and spend three more nights without a home.
Extending his experience over Christmas, Pastor Lynch said, "I got to spend time with those who basically have nothing. I realized that even though we were able to take care of providing coats, there is much more to be done. My new friends challenged me to spend Christmas with them out on the streets and that's what I am going to do. I challenge all of our other neighbors in the community to help me raise another $7500 to provide 75 men shelter for ten more days. Nobody deserves to be without a home any day of the week let alone during Christmas and New Years".
Thank You
