Homer Bakers Against Racisim

Tax deductible
So what is this?
Well... it is a virtual bake sale that that raises funds for the ACLU.

I am moved by the current call to action regarding racism in our country, however I have struggled to find the correct way to truly show my support . That is until I heard a story on NPR about the Bakers Against Racism movement.

"We are armed to fight racism with the tools we know how to utilize, our FOOD."

This is a virtual bake sale. A group of Homer home bakers raising money for an organization that supports Black lives.

For the health and safety of our supporters, each baker is responsible for distributing their goods. Many of the bakers will be utilizing easy pickup systems such "Honesty Boxes". Make a donation online or drop off cash at the pickup location, then drive-thru for your goodies. Sales are by donation. That means you can donate as much or as little as you want and be
rewarded with the treats of your choice.

Proceeds raised will benefit the ACLU Foundation.
For nearly 100 years, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has been our nation's guardian of liberty, working in courts, legislatures, and communities to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties that the Constitution and the laws of the United States guarantee everyone in this country.

We ask that you please be respectful and responsible during this uncertain time of illness and racial disparity.
