We raised 9,000 Euros for this amazing charity which we are incredibly proud of ... and even though it felt like a fairly daunting challenge at the beginning .. we came 3rd in a total of 103 teams and completed the 500 km in under 22 hours
And the total HOMERIDE event raised 1,405,315 EUROS

FONTERRA EUROPE IS INCREDIBLY PROUD TO BE RAISING MONEY FOR THE RONALD MCDONALD HOUSES IN AMSTERDAM as part of the HOMERIDE 2019 charity bike race.
On the 22/23 June we will enter a team to Cycle 500 Kilometres around the Netherlands – in 24 hours.
We are doing this to support a local organization which provides accommodation next to the Amsterdam children’s hospitals for parents and families of seriously ill children to make sure they are close and supported during this very difficult time.
Here in Amsterdam we have been raising money for Emma House for a number of years and this year we decided to raise our game and enter the Homeride race with the aim of raising at least 7,000 Euros
The team includes Hans Huistra (NL), Thijs Bosch (NL), Amy Ward (NZ), Rory Donnelly (NZ), Natalie Hamilton (NZ), Mikhail Sobolev (Ru), Nina Walenz (Germany) and Rebecca Burnell (UK) and we aim to complete the 500 Km cycle race in stages through the 24 hours…. and Thijs’ is aiming to do the whole 500km in one go!
This is a quite a challenge – but despite the (very) differing backgrounds of our fitness levels – we know with everyone’s support we can achieve this fantastic goal and hopefully raise some serious money for this fantastic charity.
