HOMICIDE AWARENESS FUND For Michael Tripp

**MICHAEL ALLEN TRIPP'S  life was taken away from him suddenly on May 8th, 2021. He was a victim of gunfire, shot and killed in Monroe County, Michigan.


Officers patrolling the area had heard the gunshots and drove to the area of fire. They found him lying in a street at the Pleasantville Mobile Home Community on Nadeau Road in Frenchtown Township, unarmed, alone and still alive. He was taken to Beaumont hospital where he then died from the fatal wounds. A couple were found in the area and taken into custody in connection with his death.

His family were not emotionally prepared for such a tragic event or financially prepared for the expense. They are asking for help.

His Mother and immediate family were in Florida at the time. His loving Mother whom many have seen devastated, crying out for help on Facebook, has been trying to get back to her son in Michigan from Florida. While his Aunt Michelle Whitted has become distraught after being asked to identify his lifeless body, of whom she loved very much.

Michael Allen Tripp, 26-year-old Newport, Michigan resident was born on December 3, 1994. He is the loving son of Melanie Whitted and a wonderful Grandson of Edwina Workman, both residents of Monroe County, Michigan. He was the big brother of Matthew Whitted, Adored by his Aunt Michelle and Uncle Daniel Whitted , cousin of Sierra Nicole and Donovan Whitted, whom loved him like a brother, and was a good friend to many.

Michael was a Grandma’s boy. He called her his Rock, and his Mother was his Angel.


Michael had a huge heart. He believed in God and was always there when someone needed him because he loved to help people.

He is an organ donor and once asked us if anything should ever happen to him, that the lives of those people whom his death can help be celebrated, not his death. He was funny and could light up any room with his charismatic attitude. He believed that a smile is contagious and did his best to turn anyone’s frown upside down. Always trying to make a difference, practicing that belief.


Michael and his family are considered family by us. His tragic loss has impacted many and will continue to impact our lives for a long time. Our hearts are breaking by this sad news. No doubt, Michael will be deeply missed by all that ever knew him.

Please help financially to support his family's unexpected expense. The family are devastated and overwhelmed by his loss. They need financial help for his burial expenses, support to help his mother and immediate family get back to Michigan from Florida and support for a celebration of life. By his request.
