Honcho Campout Queer Fam Fund 2025
Donation protected
As Honcho Campout celebrates its 10th Anniversary, we're thrilled to introduce the Queer Fam Fund for 2025. The ongoing success of QFF continues to inspire us to find new ways to keep Campout truly intersectional, inclusive, and reflective of the full spectrum of the queer community. The QFF stands as a multifaceted initiative encompassing both fundraising and outreach efforts. The program focuses primarily on uplifting the voices and experiences of those historically marginalized and underrepresented, specifically Black, Indigenous, people of color, and people of trans experience at Honcho Campout.
Fueled by generous donations and ongoing fundraising efforts, the Queer Fam Fund is a vital resource that helps break down financial barriers for the most marginalized members of our community. Since launching in 2018, QFF has proudly supported over 300 recipients—and this August, we’ll welcome a new round of beneficiaries. The fund’s impact on Campout has been deeply felt, and with your continued support, we can make the experience even more inclusive and enriching every year.
In addition to crowdfunding, QFF is supported by a portion of each ticket sale, with $15 from every Campout ticket going directly to the fund. Patrons can also contribute during checkout when purchasing their tickets. Beyond that, we host special fundraising events and sales throughout the year to further support QFF’s mission.
What’s Included:
General Admission Ticket: Recipients will receive a complimentary General Admission ticket, ensuring full access to the Campout experience.
Travel Stipend: To ease the burden of travel, we handle the logistics and cover transportation costs directly—whether that means booking bus tickets, contributing to flights, or arranging other travel needs. We understand every journey is different and work closely with each recipient to find the best solution for their circumstances.
Meals: Our all-inclusive meal plan keeps you nourished throughout Campout, featuring dinner on Wednesday, brunch and dinner from Thursday to Sunday, and breakfast on Monday morning. We cater to a variety of dietary preferences, with both meat and vegetarian options thoughtfully prepared.
Camping Gear: Recipients will be provided with a basic camping kit that includes a roomy tent, sleeping bag, and sleeping pad. You're also welcome to bring and use your own gear if preferred.
Facilities Fee: This fee, typically included in the General Admission ticket, is fully covered for all recipients.
This program is a huge team effort by dozens of people to ensure the entire experience is as easy and smooth as possible. We all see the work we do as important and well worth the effort.
The Campout 2025 website is now being regularly updated across all pages with the latest details as we confirm them. It’s going to be another incredible year, and we can’t wait to start this journey with you.
