Honey For The Hive

In 2013, a small group of musicians founded the Boise Hive with a mission to prevent suicide in the Boise area music community. Over the last seven years, the Hive has purchased our own building and become  a successful, volunteer run non-profit. We are a safe and sober musicians resource, providing mental health support, free online counseling, inexpensive practice space and welcoming performance space.

Almost all of our fundraising efforts are centered around live music events, but all of these events have been postponed or cancelled this year due to COVID-19.  Performance opportunities are down, need for rehearsal space is down and our normal revenue is down 70% since March.

Without the funds to keep this space open, our role as a music community center connecting musicians to the resources they need is in jeopardy. We don’t want to lose the Boise hive, especially in the midst of the additional stresses due to COVID-19.

The Boise Hive needs your help to get through this!

We need to raise $7,500 to continue the Hive’s mission to prevent suicide.

Here are some of the things we are doing that your donations to the Boise Hive will support: 

*Providing online counseling to musicians in need
*Live streaming and promoting three to four acts in our bi-weekly show Live@The Hive (Facebook, Youtube, Twitch, Twitter and Periscope)
*Incorporating our mission to prevent suicide into Live@The Hive
*Hosting two interns from BSU, both pursuing bachelor’s degrees in Social Work
*Hosting the re-started Jam-It-Out program every Friday 6-9PM for veterans
*Renewing focus on mental health and well-being because we ALL acknowledge the additional stress caused by COVID-19
