HoneyRock Fall Break Camp 2023

Hello, my name is Derrick. I am a sophomore attending Wheaton College. February of 2019 was the first time I went to HoneyRock. HoneyRock is a Christian Cabin Retreat Owned by Wheaton College in Three Lakes, Wisconsin. In addition, it is also the place where I met God. I was a high school freshman living according to my plan, procrastinating, lacking emotional control, and unfamiliar with ministry. There was a specific day when all the young men, including myself, were gathered into a room at HoneyRock. Our mentor asked us to write down everything that prevented us from being closer to God. I wrote down everything that I could. Then, he prayed for us and wanted us to throw our sins that we had written down on paper into the fire pit. I rejoiced in tears because that was my encounter with God from an individual perspective. I then graduated from North Lawndale College Prep in 2022 to go to Wheaton College. This upcoming fall break (October 14th-18th), I will return to where I met my Savior. With your support, I will be able to pay it forward to saving those who potentially walked away from the faith like I once did. To leave the 99 and find the one lost sheep like I was once found. I will also participate in fun activities like praise and worship, rock climbing, biking, archery, hiking, canoeing, and team building with fellow campers.
