Honor a Loving Father's Legacy Together

Donation protected
We are starting this GoFundMe on behalf of our beloved father, Edgardo De Leon. Recently, our dad was diagnosed with metastatic pancreaticobiliary adenocarcinoma, an aggressive form of cancer that was determined to be unresectable in July 2024. Since then, our family has been navigating the overwhelming emotional and financial challenges that come with such a diagnosis.

In addition to his cancer, our dad has been hospitalized due to sepsis caused by cholangitis, a complication related to his illness. We are doing everything we can to ensure he is as comfortable as possible, but as we face this difficult reality, we are also preparing for what lies ahead.

Our father is a hero to us in every sense of the word. He proudly served as a general in the Philippines, dedicating his life to his country and leading with honor and compassion. However, his greatest joy came from being a devoted and loving father to multiple children. He taught us to value family, integrity, and kindness—principles that continue to guide us every day.

With very poor prognosis and life expectancy of days to weeks. Our father is now receiving comfort measures only and had given up all his treatment options as to respect his wish to let nature takes its normal course.
In preparation, as part of his final wishes, he would like to bring his final remains back home in the Philippines and to be buried beside our late mother. As family, we would like to have his finalwish come true, however, it would cost minimum of $15,000.00, which - us, his children could not afford.

Aside from prayers, we are reaching out to our community for support during this time, as the costs of his medical care and eventual funeral expenses are significant. Any contributions will go directly toward these expenses, allowing us to provide our father with the dignity and honor he deserves in his final moments and beyond.

Your generosity, whether through donations, prayers, or sharing this page, means the world to us. We want to make sure that our dad’s memory is celebrated in the way he lived his life—with love, strength, and honor.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your support during this incredibly difficult time.
