It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of the passing of Ahmed Senyange , son of Hajji and Hajjat Twaha Damulira of Namayiba. Born in December 25th 1974, Ahmed left us on Wednesday 11 of , December 2024 in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Ahmed was a beloved sportsman, cherished by all who knew him. Nicknamed “French Cut,” he played for KCCA FC, Arua, and the Uganda Cranes (Young Cranes), leaving an indelible mark on Ugandan soccer. Starting his career at KCCA in 1989 after joining from Namilyango College, Ahmed played alongside legends like Jackson Mayanja, George Nsimbe, and Sam Simbwa. In 1995, he moved to the USA, where he resided for over a decade before relocating to the Netherlands in 2009.
Despite his achievements, Ahmed faced many challenges during his transition abroad.
After 29 years away from Uganda, it is his parents’ heartfelt wish to bring their son home for a dignified farewell. We are calling on all Ugandans, sports lovers, and well-wishers to help fulfill this wish.
Your support will help cover the costs of returning Ahmed’s body to Uganda and giving him the send-off he deserves. No contribution is too small, and every bit of help matters.
