Honor Arcadio Laxamana's Legacy: Funeral Support
Donation protected
We are heartbroken to share that our beloved grandfather, Arcadio Benitez Laxamana, has passed away after enduring months of hospitalizations and hospice care. For 15 years, he faced the challenge of dialysis with immense courage and resilience. Despite his health struggles, he remained a source of strength and love for our family. Now, he is finally at peace.
Born on January 12, 1935, Arcadio Laxamana peacefully passed away on September 15, 2024, at the age of 89. Arcadio was raised in the Philippines, where he developed a love for boxing in his early years. Throughout his life, he wore many hats—serving as an executive assistant during the day and a bartender at night. In 1960, he met Carolina, and their love blossomed, leading to a beautiful marriage two years later. Together, they built a life filled with love. In pursuit of new opportunities, they moved to Hawai'i on October 30, 1997, where they continued their journey as a family.
Arcadio was a man who touched the lives of everyone he met. His perseverance, warmth, and wisdom left a lasting impression on all of us. He faced his health battles head-on, never allowing them to take away his joy for life and his love for his family. Whether it was during family gatherings, where his presence was the heart of every celebration, or in quieter moments, he brought us together with his kindness and generosity.
After years of fighting, our grandfather deserves a beautiful farewell. However, the expenses of his long-term medical care and hospice stay have left our family without the means to cover the costs of his funeral. We are hoping to raise $20,000 to honor him with a dignified service, including funeral home arrangements, burial, and a memorial where we can gather to celebrate his incredible life.
Here is the breakdown for the funeral and memorial Service:
- Basic Gravestone: $8,000
- Funeral Service: $9,965
- Cemetery and Burial: $4,127
We humbly ask for any support you can provide—whether it's a donation or simply sharing this page with others. Every little bit helps us ensure that our grandfather is laid to rest with respect and love he deserves.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support during this difficult time. It means the world to our family.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Laxamana Family.
