Honor Buddy Adams The fighter: Assist His Family
Donation protected
My grandfather's name was Raymond “Buddy” Adams. He was born on September 10, 1945, in Houston, Texas. He was the man everyone knew, and he loved to know everyone. He greeted everyone with a smile. Baba would take the shirt off his back to help anyone! He was known for his lovely “Elvis” voice! He just celebrated his 57th wedding anniversary with my grandmother. This is the first time in her adult life she doesn’t have someone providing or taking care of her.
He was also a war hero! He proudly served our country in the United States Army. He was in Special Forces, Green Beret, 101st Airborne, serving in Vietnam, and was a Purple Heart recipient. Buddy was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was shot four times in a chopper carrying supplies to people in need and survived. He also survived stage 4 colon cancer and, most recently, open-heart surgery. He was recently diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and it took his life quickly on December 24th, where he passed peacefully with family and friends!
We need help. The VA is helping with some of the funeral expenses but not much. I’m not one to ask from others or even open up, but the bills left behind are a lot to bear. On top of that, him leaving is putting his wife and daughter with no place to go. Anything would help. If you feel led, we would greatly appreciate it!
