Honoring Mike Emmel Our Beloved Captain America
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and supporters,
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved friend, Mike Emmel, affectionately known as Captain America. Mike bravely fought against leptomeningeal disease, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Throughout this journey, Mike demonstrated immense courage, strength, and an unwavering spirit, much like the superhero nickname we fondly gave him.
Mike has been a cherished member of the Unique Fitness community since 2019. His passion for fitness, dedication to helping others, and infectious positivity touched the lives of everyone he met. Whether leading butt-kicking workouts or sharing a smile, Mike made a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Outside of the gym, Mike's zest for life was evident in his love for outdoor activities, including running, walking his beloved dog Dozer, and enjoying time at the beach. He found joy in maintaining multiple freshwater fish tanks and had a deep interest in lacrosse and boxing.
As we grieve this profound loss, we also come together to support Mike's family during this difficult time. We are asking for your support, thoughts, and prayers. Your generosity will help alleviate the financial burden of medical expenses and support his loved ones as they navigate this challenging period.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference. Let's honor Captain America's legacy and show the strength of our fitness family by standing together.
For those who wish to pay their respects, visitation will be held on Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM at Bayport Raynor and D'Andrea Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place on Monday at 10 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church, 48 Greene Avenue, Sayville.
Thank you for your unwavering support and compassion.
