Honoring the Life of Carmita Lampkins: A Loving Wife, Mother, Daughter, and Friend

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Carmita, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, at just 54 years old. After a courageous battle with Alzheimer's, she left this world far too soon, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.

Carmita was the heart of her family and a light to everyone who knew her. She devoted her life to caring for her husband Lamar, their two wonderful children, Tyler and Taylor, and everyone in her circle. Her joy, laughter, and unconditional love will never be forgotten.

For more than 19 years, Carmita proudly served as a bus driver for Milwaukee County Transit (MCT), becoming a trusted and friendly face for countless passengers. Her dedication to her work and her community was unparalleled, and she touched the lives of many with her warmth and compassion.

She is survived by her husband, Lamar; her son, Tyler; her daughter, Taylor; her mother; her siblings; and a host of family and friends who are all grieving this profound loss.

As the family navigates this difficult time, we are raising funds to honor her memory and support the financial burdens left behind, including funeral expenses and other unforeseen costs. Every donation, regardless of size, is a heartfelt gesture of love and support.

If Carmita touched your life in any way, please consider contributing to this fund and sharing it with others who may want to help. Together, we can ease the burden on the family as they mourn and begin to heal.

Thank you for your generosity and for keeping Carmita's family in your thoughts and prayers during this time.

The family is devastated by Carmita's passing and they were simply not prepared for the cost of a funeral service. Many of you have asked how you can help out the family during this tough time. Instead of flowers, the family asks donations be made to help cover funeral costs. Any donation size is helpful as we try to give her the simple yet beautiful funeral she deserves. Please consider donating if you can do so. We are so very grateful for every donation during this difficult time.

With love,
The Lampkins Family
