Honor Chad Stormer's Memory: Support His Burial
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Riki Stormer and I'm fundraising for my brother, Chad Stormer. He passed away last evening. He was my younger brother, best friend, and lifelong companion from July 24, 1967, until August 23, 2024. He had many obstacles in his life. He was a type 1 diabetic, had a missing heart valve, and was a cancer survivor. He also had Asperger's syndrome, which was more a blessing than an obstacle for Chad. He was pure of heart and always had a loving smile and the pure laughter of a child.
He worked for Burger King for twenty years in Wisconsin and relocated to Seattle in his mid-thirties. For most of his time there, he worked different jobs through temporary services, such as Nintendo, Albertsons, Jet City Pizza, Bellevue Parks, and Recreation, to name a few. He truly loved Seattle. He had a great love for music, which made his world go round. He particularly loved Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead.
The last ten years had been particularly difficult for my brother and myself, experiencing homelessness and living out of vehicles and motels. Now, I ask in Chad's name, for Seattle and all Deadheads, to assist in his burial. The meaning of Grateful Dead is the soul of a dead person or their angel giving thanks for the assistance in their burial. This is what I ask for my brother. I set a lofty goal. My brother's life was never celebrated in any grand fashion, and he never owned a home. I would like him to be celebrated in memory in the greatest fashion. I thank all of you for your warm hearts and kindness.
