Honor Christy McWilliams: Support Her Family

We are heartbroken to share that Christy McWilliams of Norwalk, CT passed away suddenly in her sleep on Tuesday April 22, 2025 from complications of her Type 1 Diabetes. Christy was a beloved member of the Norwalk community, showcased by her involvement at St Philip Church, the St. Ann’s Club, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Christy was a dedicated educator, working over ten years in the Norwalk Public Schools system. Her commitment to her community and those around her has always been unwavering. Those who knew her know her love, her kindness, and her fierce devotion to those she loves. To know her is to love her, and she will be sorely missed.

She leaves behind her three sons TJ (25), Jeb (22), and Luke (21) Boyrer. At the time of her death, Christy was working multiple jobs to support her children so that they could live at home worry free and focus on attending school and tackling the debt that comes along with it. Christy is also survived by her mother Betty Tavella Brink of Norwalk, CT.

There will be a memorial mass celebrated on Saturday May 10th, 2025 at 10am at St Philip Church in Norwalk. St Philip is located at 1 Father Conlon Place in Norwalk, CT.

Our goal is to raise $9000 to help cover expenses for cremation and memorial services. Any leftover funds will be donated to Christy’s three surviving children for college debt, in honor of her memory and dedication to supporting them.
