Honor Coach Hank Larsen with a Memorial Plaque (Plus)

UPDATED GOAL...

Dear friends of Coach Larsen:

Our team of GHS alumni athletes underestimated the depth and breadth of Coach Larsen’s influence!! In a short time, our $4,500 goal was reached, but we have heard from many who would still like to contribute. As a result, we are raising our goal to $7,500 to do something more substantial in Coach’s memory. Call it “plaque plus,” meaning we envision a plaque along with a suitable memorial display or permanent feature which would be designed/developed in conjunction with school officials. (We’d also welcome anyone who would like to serve on a design team for this feature.) Please share this update with other GHS alumni – whether or not they were coached by our beloved Hank Larsen. Let’s do this! Thank you!

You may have heard that our beloved coach, Hank Larson, passed away last September. In his memory, we are reaching out to former track & field and cross-country members to ask for your generous contribution to fund a bronze plaque honoring Hank. This plaque is planned to be displayed outside the Stevens Seminary Stadium. Our goal is to raise $4500 for a bronze plaque. Anything raised above the cost of the plaque will be donated to the track & field and cross-country teams. Please share this information with our former teammates and friends. Thank you!!
