Honor Daniella's Legacy: Support Her Family

My name is Romina Cevallos, and I am reaching out on behalf of my late sister, Daniela Resabala. Daniella was tragically taken from us far too soon. She was a devoted mother, a loving wife, and a courageous public servant who gave everything for her country. Recently, she was appointed as the Director of Penitenciaría del Litoral, one of the most dangerous prisons in Ecuador. In this role, Daniela bravely confronted corruption, refusing to back down in the face of the gangs and mobsters controlling the prison. Her life was cut short because of her unwavering integrity and commitment to justice.
Daniela was a pillar of strength in her community, her church, and most of all, her family. Now, her husband and their two young children, ages 9 and 4, are left heartbroken and without their primary source of support. To make matters worse, the Ecuadorian government has refused to help with the funeral costs or provide any recognition for her sacrifice.
Without help, her children will face an uncertain future without the means to pursue higher education or financial stability. Daniela’s dedication to her family, her work, and her faith in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints deserves to be honored. Any support during this incredibly difficult time will go directly to helping her family rebuild their lives and secure a brighter future for her children.

Mi nombre es Romina Cevallos y estoy escribiendo en nombre de mi hermana fallecida, Daniela Resabala. Trágicamente, Daniela fue arrebatada de nosotros demasiado pronto. Fue una madre devota, una esposa amorosa y una valiente servidora pública que lo dio todo por su país. Recientemente, fue nombrada Directora de la Penitenciaría del Litoral, una de las prisiones más peligrosas de Ecuador. En este cargo, Daniela enfrentó la corrupción con valentía, negándose a ceder ante las pandillas y mafias que controlaban la prisión. Su vida fue truncada por su inquebrantable integridad y su compromiso con la justicia.
Daniela era un pilar de fortaleza en su comunidad, en su iglesia y, sobre todo, en su familia. Ahora, su esposo y sus dos hijos pequeños, de 9 y 4 años, están devastados y sin su principal fuente de apoyo. Para empeorar la situación, el gobierno ecuatoriano ha rechazado ayudar con los gastos del funeral o brindar reconocimiento alguno por su sacrificio.
Sin ayuda, sus hijos enfrentarán un futuro incierto, sin los medios para continuar con su educación superior ni la estabilidad económica necesaria. La dedicación de Daniela a su familia, a su trabajo y a su fe en la Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días merece ser honrada. Cualquier apoyo en estos momentos tan difíciles se destinará directamente a ayudar a su familia a reconstruir sus vidas y asegurar un futuro mejor para sus hijos.
