Honor Darius Merrett: Support His Funeral Fund

My name is Denese and on November 14, 2024, at around 6:20 pm, someone killed my son, Darius Merrett, right outside our home. While our family life has been ripped apart, I am now tasked with the responsibility of having to bury my middle child. Darius was a kind and loving old soul; he never did anything to hurt anyone.

Darius was 34 years old and the father of 3 beautiful children: De'Von, 14, Alicia, 12, and Leilani, 8. He was the middle of two siblings and he loved his siblings. I am asking my community to help me raise the expenses that I will need to bury my child. I have made a promise to my grandchildren that I will do all I can to lay their dad to rest and make him proud. This journey isn’t going to be easy; it is my desire to take Darius to our family hometown in Cross City, FL so that we can celebrate his life together one final time.
