Honor Darren Garnick by supporting his daughter Dahlia

Donation protected
My name is Robin Grossman. My sister, Stacy Garnick, lost her husband to pancreatic cancer 2 weeks ago after a 13-month battle. Darren, the main source of income for the family, was 56 years old and leaves behind Stacy, their 22-year-old son, Ari, and 17-year-old daughter, Dahlia. Darren was a special person and will be so missed by all who knew and loved him.

Since Darren was a journalist, he took the opportunity to write some words that were read at his funeral... and here is a short snippet below:

"I am not feeling scared about physically dying. It's more about feeling profoundly sad and even resentful about all the years and lifetime of experiences stolen from me. I didn't want to leave this movie early. I'm grateful that I got to sit in the frigid rain and watch Ari graduate from college in June. But I was SO looking forward to kicking back and finding out what happens next. Perhaps most of all, I am sad that I won't be able to see Dahlia skyrocket her high school graduation cap in the air and have her ask if I can print 89 copies of the pictures. I will miss bedtime stories and regret not writing more personalized photo books – which she calls the 'special books' – to match her sense of humor. Dahlia’s off-the-charts enthusiasm level, when properly channeled, usually improves the mood of everyone around her. I hope she continues to connect with people who appreciate her gifts."

We are so thrilled that Ari is well on his way in the world after recently graduating from college and starting his first job last week. Dahlia is a vivacious, inquisitive young woman who LOVES people, participates in her school's Unified Basketball, Soccer, Track, and Chorus programs while also managing a host of special needs.

Anything that you can give to help support Dahlia's future medical and education needs will be very appreciated. The funds will be transferred into a reserved account for her.

Thank you for your love and support of our little flower.
