Honor Dougie with a Proper Headstone

I am currently trying to get the funds together to get a headstone for my daughter’s father Douglas Grissom. He passed away earlier this year and somebody had taken over the funeral so we were just happy to lay him to rest properly with loved ones surrounding him. It is very unfortunate, but we have recently found out that costs have not been covered like previously thought. The requested stone had already been ordered, even without payment, out of the goodness of his heart. Now it has come to the time to engrave the stone, but the gentleman has not received payment. We will do what we can to raise funds, but I am asking that if anybody can help to place a stone above him so he may rest knowing his loved ones may visit a nice stone for him, we would be grateful. It is saddening that this was not something we could have worked on much earlier this year, but I do not wish for his grave to lay bare regardless of the new circumstances. Dougie and I were not always on great terms, but I only wish for good things. Dougie was known and loved by many. He did a lot for others. He helped so many even when he didn't have much to give and he just had a big heart. He left many behind and will always be remembered for even the little things he did. I know how hard it can be to hard to lay those to rest and I know he would appreciate any helping hand we could get for him as well. Please help us to give him something proper above where he has been laid to rest. Thank you!
