It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Edward Mason, who suddenly left us on February 25, 2025. He was more than a father, husband, and friend—he was a pillar of strength, a devoted Marine, and a man dedicated to uplifting his community.

Edward was a loving father of five—Ashley, Gabby, Kaela, Aarlyn, and Malachi—and recently gained a beautiful extended family through his marriage to Felicia Key, and welcomed her children Darius, Faith, and Timothy into his heart.

Beyond his unwavering dedication to family, Edward’s passion for service led him to create O.V.A.L (Our Veterans Are Loved)—https://o-v-a-l.org—a non-profit organization dedicated to providing transitional housing, workforce development programs, and supportive services for veterans and their families. As a proud Marine, he understood the sacrifices veterans make and worked tirelessly to ensure they received the respect, resources, and opportunities they deserved.

His vision extended beyond veteran support—he was also the founder of B.A.F.E Group, LLC, —https://bafe.group—a company committed to building eco-friendly affordable homes in Opportunity Zones. His work reflected his deep commitment to economic growth, generational wealth, and community development, ensuring that underserved communities had access to housing and financial empowerment.
