Honor Fallen Officer and Hero Abigail Esparza Reyes

We come together to honor the life and sacrifice of Officer Abigail Esparza Reyes—a courageous, fearless woman who gave everything in the line of duty. Abigail stood out as a natural leader, unafraid to face danger and fiercely dedicated to protecting her community.

Her commitment to justice transcended borders. Officer Esparza Reyes served with honor assisting both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border, making an overwhelming number of arrests of the most violent and dangerous offenders. Her work led to the capture of individuals involved in top 15 most-wanted cases, including murderers, sex traffickers and child molesters. She brought justice to victims and safety to communities—and she did it with unwavering resolve.

Though we may stand on opposite sides of a border, the bond among those who serve knows no boundaries. Abigail was a sister in blue, and her sacrifice deserves our respect, our gratitude, and our support.

She leaves behind a loving family and two beautiful children, ages 12 and 13, who are now being cared for by her elderly parents who now bare the financial burden of raising young adults. Beyond that, her children will need help with everyday expenses, school expenses and tuition, any mental health services that may be needed and simply continuing life without the financial support of their brave, single mother.
