For those of you who are looking for a way to help, I am raising funds that will go towards Giorgio's celebration of life in mid August in San Diego, his burial ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date, the decompression and rehoming of his Belgian Malinois Johnny, and other family costs accrued from Giorgio’s passing. All dates, times, and locations will be announced when they are confirmed for those who would like to join us in celebrating Giorgio's life...
Giorgio Arrabito Kirylo was born on June 28, 1986, in New Jersey, and left this world suddenly on July 18, 2024 at the young age of 38. He was in high school when September 11, 2001, occurred, and he promptly "answered the call" and joined the United States Marine Corps after graduating. He was part of the elite Special Operations Marine Raiders and completed six deployments in support of the Global War on Terror. He was involved in some of the most intense fighting in Sangin, Afghanistan, and in the Battle of Mosul in Iraq. He notably served with SEAL Team 7 in Mosul. He was highly decorated and honorably retired in 2021.
Giorgio packed so much good into his 38 years of life, and he was devoted to serving in any way he could. He always stood up for what was right. He actively helped others -whether it be for his fellow Marines, service members, loved ones, friends, everyday American citizens, or those who were unable to advocate for themselves. He was a fierce countryman/patriot, truth-teller and advocate for many. His voice travelled far into the hearts of many communities, and he especially had a deep empathy for those affected by mental health issues. At the time of his death, he was working on building a foundation to help military veterans that were suffering in their personal lives.
His dedication and passion for the well-being of others will outlive him in his capacity and endurance to bring awareness to issues that were very personal to him. He helped start a local homeless advocacy and cleanup organization in San Diego – and sought to find humanitarian solutions for the suffering homeless population in his community. In one instance, he even helped save a man's life who almost overdosed outside his apartment.
Giorgio was very politically active and passionate about helping turn the country around, and he possessed the ability to shape thought in a world where not much thought was given. He served on a Congressional campaign for two cycles and helped a Mayoral race in San Diego. He was also active in exposing the horrors and abuses resulting from the open border, and some of his work was briefed to Congress in May of 2024. Giorgio's work ethic, passion, and motivation led him to work with people like Tulsi Gabbard and investigative reporter James O'Keefe. His friends, fellow analysts, and researchers continue his work.
Giorgio was a friend to everyone. He had a heart of gold and put every ounce of energy into the people he loved, his missions, and the projects he led and supported. Giorgio was charismatic, unapologetically himself, and fiercely loyal. He had a sunny disposition and a loud, boisterous laugh. He was kind, generous, and thoughtful – always going the extra mile for his loved ones and always ready to lend a helping hand wherever needed.
Giorgio loved "carb-free" doughnuts, cupcakes, and cheesecake and was a fitness guru. He was a prolific writer and public speaker- so often using his voice to speak out on behalf of the homeless, military veterans, and on behalf of the country.
The children who knew Giorgio loved him and regarded him as a hero. Giorgio loved animals of all kinds, and they loved him too. He once even rescued a crow, and this kindness is a testament to the type of man he was – a friend to all and incredibly kind to animals. He joked that if somehow his efforts didn't work out, he would fully commit to becoming a full-time "zoo influencer."
Giorgio found God again towards the last few years of his life. He walked with his faith and demonstrated what it meant to be a man of God. Giorgio was a practicing Catholic and greatly appreciated Operation Restored Warrior, his church family at St. Anne's Parish in San Diego, and his church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Giorgio is unforgettable. He will be remembered for his tireless and selfless service, generosity, unwavering dedication, and the love that he gave to his friends and loved ones. Giorgio will be remembered and survived by not only his many human loved ones but also a number of four-legged furry friends.
Giorgio’s life shone so brightly and was taken away from us much too soon. His final resting place will be in Arlington National Cemetery where he will join his father and grandfather, and many of the fallen soldiers whom he loved deeply.
Thank you Pipe Hitter Foundation, Half Face Blades, Warriors Choice Foundation, and others for your support.
