Honor Greg Levitt: Support Gliogene Project

Donation protected
In the United States, 23,720 people are diagnosed every year with a malignant primary brain tumor, known as a glioma. Of these cases, 5 to 10 percent are believed to run in families. To make a difference for other families facing diagnoses of glioblastomas, Greg, his children and his father committed to donating blood to the Gliogene Project at the Melissa Bondy Lab at Stanford University School of Medicine. The Gliogene Project is the largest genetic study of glioma in families and aims to reveal more about genes that may contribute to brain tumors. To honor Greg's life, legacy and family, please make a contribution to the project through GoFundMe. The family will make a collective donation to Stanford following his memorial service at a later date.

In Loving Memory of Greg Levitt
Gregory Matthew Levitt passed away on March 24, 2025, after a year-long battle with glioblastoma. He was born on November 12, 1975 to Richard and Deborah Levitt in Philadelphia. He attended the Lawrenceville School as a boarding student, graduating with the class of 1993. He went on to study international relations at Brown University. Following a brief career in investment banking at Smith Barney, Greg earned his MBA from Columbia Business School in 2004.

Over the years, Greg became a respected leader in product management and technology. He was cofounder of 33Across, an ad targeting firm, and Farmivore, an e-commerce service. He made lasting contributions at major companies including Yahoo, Foursquare, Clear, and most recently, Quanata.

Greg met the love of his life, Jody Yen, in New York City, and they were married on September 3, 2005. Together, they built a beautiful life on the Upper Westside and were proud parents to two incredible boys, Sacha, 11, and Noah, 9.

He enjoyed being active, which included commuting on bicycle daily, running, fishing and sailing. Above all else, Greg loved being a husband and a father. His happiest moments were those spent with his family traveling all over the world, eating new and different foods, taking his sons fishing, and cheering on his favorite Philadelphia sports teams.
Greg is survived by his beloved wife, Jody; his sons, Sacha and Noah; his parents, Richard and Deborah; and his brother, Colin.
