CW3 Li's Final Act of Valor
Donation protected
United States Army Chief Warrant Officer Three Hao Y. Li tragically passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024, while heroically saving his son, Bo, during a swimming accident at American Lake, Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Bo had slipped into deep water, and both he and Hao had to be resuscitated after drowning. Unfortunately, Hao did not survive, but Bo is now in stable condition in the ICU thanks to his father's heroic actions and the efforts of those who performed CPR at the scene.
Hao was known for his selflessness and deep love for his family. His wife Stephanie, mother Kelly Li, and son Bo were the center of his universe. Hao was a brilliant Army Warrant Officer Technician; an expert in his craft, selflessly dedicated to his Soldiers, and a generously loyal friend. His legacy will live on in perpetuity through the memory and lives of all those he cared so deeply for.
Donations will be used to support the family’s needs during this difficult time, including travel expenses for those coming from out of state. The family appreciates any support you can provide, whether through donations, kind words, or stories about Hao.
