Help us Honor Harold Lopez in His Final Journey

Donation protected
With heavy hearts, we share the sudden passing of our beloved brother, Harold Shane Lee Lopez.

Harold was the first born of our mother Esmeralda “Smitty” Lopez. He was the oldest of four siblings: Peter, Sarah and Martha. However, if you knew Harold, you know that he had many, many brothers, sisters, mamas, papas, tios, tias, and cuzzins. He cherished his family, whether immediate, distant, through marriage, the hood and chosen. He shared his love and laughter freely, and there wasn’t a person he didn’t want to make feel like family.

Harold grew up in San Francisco and was well known in the Mission District – a true “OG” for 65 years! Throughout his life Harold was always there to lend a hand. Whether it was helping with a move, cleaning up, or clearing a yard or garage, and most definitely to get into some “pendejadas”, Harold had your back! If you knew Harold, you have stories! Harold found purpose, joy, community, and peace embracing his Native American Mescalero Apache Heritage. He loved being in community at Native American Centers; Pow Wows, Water Walks, Protests, Parades, any time he could participate in an event he was there, walker and all! His Native Community soothed his Spirit, Heart and Soul, and was “Medicine” for Harold. His passing will leave a deep void in the hearts of all who loved him.

As we navigate this difficult time, we are humbly asking for help to cover the costs of his cremation and a Celebration of Life ceremony to honor his memory. We are deeply grateful for any help you can provide.
