Honor Ingrid and Kurt: Support Descanso Gardens

We are all saddened by the loss of Ingrid “Omi” Kocourek on Wednesday, August 28th, 2024. Ingrid has now joined Kurt “Opa” Kocourek to rest in peace. Ingrid and Kurt loved Descanso Gardens and spent decades visiting the gardens, enjoying walks together. Everyone in our family has cherished memories of our times with Kurt and Ingrid at Descanso. Omi would often take the children to Descanso to visit “Powder,” the beautiful white goose that lived on the lake there.

In memory of Ingrid and Kurt, we are asking for donations to Descanso Gardens to support the gardens for future generations. Giving a gift to the garden that they both loved so dearly would bring us great joy and celebrate their lives and the time they spent there together. The fundraiser aims to support the gardens they cherished, with a special goal of raising enough money to dedicate a Tribute Bench in their names.

Any contribution, no matter how small, is a wonderful way to support Descanso and honor Ingrid and Kurt in the place they loved so dearly.

Your support means the world to us, and it will play a vital role in helping us to support Descanso in Omi and Opa’s names.
