Honor Jack's Spirit with a Lasting Tribute

My name is Denise DeJoy Nissen and I grew up on Spring Lake. Our dad, Jack DeJoy, built our house on a lot that he originally purchased to build a cabin. He loved the lot so much that he decided to build our family home, and that is where he lived for the next 55 years. He raised 5 kids there and spent many hours fishing and boating on Spring Lake and even pulled for the Prior Lake Boat Show for a couple of years. Jack was an excellent water skier and could even barefoot ski.

Jack passed away peacefully in this home, surrounded by his loving family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer on September 28th. His family plans to honor him with a memorial bench at Spring Lake Regional Park, which is located across the lake from his house. We are having a celebration of life this Sunday, October 6th, at the Spring Lake Town Hall from 1-5. If you would like to donate to the bench in lieu of flowers, feel free to donate below.
