Honor John Coleman’s Legacy: Support Funeral Costs
Donation protected
We are heartbroken to share the passing of our beloved John, a man whose life was a living example of what recovery, compassion, and true dedication look like.
John came to Camelot more than 30 years ago as a recovering addict and graduate of Daytop Village. From the moment he arrived, it was clear—John was special. His instincts, sincerity, and fierce commitment to helping others went far beyond anything that could be taught in a classroom. He didn’t just work in recovery—he lived it, breathed it, and became a beacon for others who had lost hope.
As Camelot’s Client Advocate, John spent over four decades saving lives, mending families, and walking beside people through the hardest parts of their journey. He was never about titles or accolades—he just cared. Deeply. About the clients. About the staff. About his colleagues, friends, and family. If you knew John, you knew love, truth, and real support.
Even while he was fighting cancer, he never stopped showing up. He never stopped listening, encouraging, or standing by the people he loved. Whether it was a client in crisis, a friend in need, or a family member reaching out—John showed up. Always.
His passing leaves an enormous hole in our community and in our hearts. To help honor him and give him the farewell he deserves, we are asking for support to help cover funeral costs. Anything you can give, whether big or small, will go directly toward laying John to rest with the love and dignity he gave so freely to others.
Let’s come together to show up for John, one last time.
