Hello, I never thought I'd be the one to be writing this, but I really want to help my fiancé's family. Yesterday, on November 15th at around 2 pm, I received the news from my fiancé about his father passing. Joseph Rueda was an amazing father, husband, in-law, grandpa, and friend. For the past 3 years I've known him, he's shown me nothing but kindness. I have nothing but good memories of Joseph. I could tell from the moment I met him he was a genuine and selfless person. Joseph was a very kind man and always had a smile on his face every time you walked into the room. Living with my fiance and his family I got the chance to experience having a father figure. Every time I needed help with something, he'd be the first person to offer a hand, get whatever food I was craving, drive me to places, get us something totally random from the grocery store since he always thinks about us- the kids at home, and help me take care of my one-year-old child whenever I have to leave for work. Even when I could tell he was in so much pain, he would never say no to taking care of my son Jeremiah. He loved his grandson so much and would always express how in love he was with him. He held on for another year just to spend more time with us even though he was already having health issues.
My fiancé's family lost their dad too soon; we all thought we had more time. My fiancé's family had unfortunately gone through some crisis, and both his parents were left unemployed and could never get back up their feet because Joseph had two heart attacks and started having even more complications around last year, he really did try working for a bit but his body isn't the same after his heart attacks. So, my fiancé and his siblings have been supporting their parents all the way through. I'm hoping this would help them out just a bit. Even if we raise $500, it would still mean a lot to us. Joseph deserves a nice memorial service. His three sons, Joshua, Jericho, and Jerome, and his lovely wife of 26 years, Florhaine, deserve to see him one last time and say their goodbyes.
All funds will be given to his eldest son Joshua he will be taking care of his memorial service. Anything helps! just sharing would help too. Thank you.
