Honor Jose's Last Wish: Rest in El Salvador

We remember the life of my late uncle, Jose Santiago Romero, who dedicated his life to his family and his music. Early September, my uncle was admitted to the hospital for liver failure and needed a transplant. After 2 months in the hospital, his other organs started failing and could not withstand the liver transplant. His last wish before entering a 3-week coma was to be buried next to his mother and father in San Miguel, El Salvador. On Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 2:35 a.m., my uncle's body could not go on and he sadly passed away. My uncle leaves behind his wife and 3 children, with his youngest being 7. Recordamos la vida de mi difunto tío, José Santiago Romero, que dedicó su vida a su familia y a su música. A principios de septiembre, mi tío fue ingresado en el hospital por insuficiencia hepática y necesitaba un trasplante. Después de 2 meses en el hospital, sus otros órganos comenzaron a fallar y no pudieron soportar el trasplante de hígado. Su último deseo antes de entrar en coma durante 3 semanas era ser enterrado junto a su madre y su padre en San Miguel, El Salvador. El miércoles 4 de diciembre de 2024 a las 2:35 a. m. el cuerpo de mi tío no pudo seguir y lamentablemente falleció. Mi tío deja atrás a su esposa y a sus 3 hijos, siendo su hijo menor de 7 años.
