Honor Karen Kemper with a Lasting Memorial

A special person, a special face, someone we all loved, that will never be replaced.

On July 24th, we lost an amazing mother, sister, aunt, and horsewoman.

She loved her people and her animals!

My name is Carol Ross Burns and I was blessed to have known Karen Kemper for just shy of 50 years. She stepped in when my mom passed and was always there with great Mama hugs! I did her hair and nails for 25 of those years and spent some really special alone time with her. We talked about things that were bugging her, worried her, or made her happy! Lovingly, she always reminded me, “I needed Lipstick”.

One of her biggest pet peeves was money wasted on expensive dinners, trips, and things that were short-lived, such as flower arrangements. We did recently have a very in-depth talk that she was scared that she didn’t want to be like a flower - beautiful one day and forgotten when she passed! I assured her that would never happen.

I have spoken to Blake and asked if I could start the Karen Kemper Memorial fund so that we can create a Forever Memorial in her honor! In lieu of flowers that would be discarded in days, we want to do a permanent memorial so that she knows “She will never be forgotten”.

We have many ideas and will be proud to share them with you at the conclusion of this fundraiser.

Any and all proceeds will go to her memorial and any remaining monies will be donated to a local animal shelter in her name.

She loved with her whole heart!

I will miss our weekly talks and especially her “Eye ❤️ you’s”.
