Honor Karen Powell's Birthday- Support Fly Away Home Inc.

Please consider donating to the 2nd annual “Do More” Fundraiser in honor of Karen Powell’s birthday on August 8. Since her passing in December 2022, we are honoring her birthday through the spirit of giving! As a result of our first fundraiser last year, my siblings and I donated over 200 new clothing items and toiletries to the St. John’s Soup Kitchen in Newark, NJ.

If you knew my mother, she was an animal lover through and through. This led her to her career at the Associated Humane Society in Newark, where she worked for almost 30 years until she “retired” in February 2022. During her work at AHS, she helped hundreds of animals find their forever homes….and some of their forever homes were at the Powell household.

This year, we will be raising funds for a cause near and dear to her heart: Fly Away Home Inc.

My mother had the pleasure of working with this rescue organization which focuses on the rescue and rehoming of wonderful animals that previously had very little chance of survival. All funds will be used to provide the animals with the high quality medical treatments they deserve!
