Honor Kat McCall with a Memorial Bench on the Greenway
Donation protected
This GoFundMe is for a memorial bench to be placed on the North Augusta Greenway in honor of Kat McCall, and as a gift to her surviving husband George McCall. George often uses the Greenway and should have many opportunities to spend a quiet moment there.
The full details of the bench and where it will be placed are still being worked out and this may take some time due to more pressing needs of the city in repairing the damage caused by hurricane Helene. However, we have been told that it can be done and will cost about $1500. We didn’t want to wait any longer, however, to accomplish the fundraising, so we are launching this GoFundMe now.
This effort is being managed by George’s colleagues at KSB GIW Inc. Ashley Prochaska, wife of Chief Engineer Brian Prochaska is working out the details with the city and Robert Visintainer, VP Engineering will be responsible for collecting the funds and paying the expenses. Any money left over after the bench is installed will be given to George to assist in his many needs. We hope to have a presentation at some point and contributors will be invited to attend. George will be provided with a list of the names of all persons who contributed.
While many have suffered in various ways from the hurricane, George’s loss has been something which most of us can only imagine. Our hope is that we can, with this gift, contribute in some small way to the healing process.
