Honor Lelia Randle: Support for Marvin's Future

Donation protected

Hello, my name is Chanel Randle. I am the eldest granddaughter of Lelia and Marvin Randle.
For 30 years, I was privileged to witness the enduring love story of my Nana and Papa, a love that was a testament to their commitment and devotion.
They were high school sweethearts. They got married right after high school and started their family, giving birth to my mother, Lisa Minnette Randle, in 1961. Nana and Papa dreamed big and believed in one another, so the sky was the limit for them. They moved to Seattle, Washington, where my grandfather worked multiple jobs to provide for his family and to save for a family home.
As a child, I grew up with my grandparents in the home.
Patient, thoughtful, faithful, and kind, Nana and Papa
shared a loving marriage for 63 years, filled with unwavering dedication and happiness, even in the face of difficulty.
They were the epitome of a marriage bonded in the Lord, always ready to lend a helping hand to their family, friends, and community.
Nana, in all her adversity, continuously poured into others. For 30 years, Nana worked at Neighborhood House, retiring as an Area Manager of Rainier Vista, Seattle, Washington. Outside of her career, she cared for her immediate and extended family in her hometown of San Antonio, Texas, and was a steadfast, firm believer in Our Lord, Jesus Christ. Nana’s prayers and guidance are a driving force behind my encouragement to get baptized.
From road trips to Portland for gospel meetings to Texas for weeks in the hot sun, growing up, if I wasn’t with Lelia, I was with Marvin, and their example of a union beautifully crafted in Christ was a honor to witness.
On August 7, 2024, the Lord called my grandmother, Lelia, home to glory. While our family is rooted in Christ and understands this as part of His plan, it has left my grandfather heartbroken and lost. Papa, a man of deep faith, has always been a pillar of strength and honor in our family, seldom asking for help. Now, he faces an immense void in his life.
I am setting up this GoFundMe campaign as a love offering for my grandfather. He loved my grandmother deeply—her words, guidance, spirit, and charisma were his driving force. Even as his faith remains steadfast, watching his light dim has been a poignant and inspirational experience.
I hope to raise funds to assist my grandfather with the transition to life without his beloved wife. The contributions will go towards specific needs, such as funeral expenses, medical bills, and counseling services. Your support will help ease the financial burden and honor the love and commitment Lelia and Marvin shared.
I am grateful for any donation, no matter the size. Every bit helps in blessing my grandfather during these difficult times. Please consider sharing this campaign with your network to help spread the word.
Thank you for your support and for being a part of our journey. Your generosity and prayers are deeply appreciated and mean the world to our family and me.
