Honor Machiel Badenhorst: Help with Repatriation and Funeral

In Loving Memory of Machiel Badenhorst

My name is Loftus Otto, and I am honored to be the grandson of Machiel Badenhorst. Our grandpa had always dreamed of visiting the U.S., and it meant the world to him to finally fulfill that goal by reuniting with our family here. He was so full of joy when he arrived, reconnecting with his great-grandchildren and eagerly looking forward to meeting another great-granddaughter who is on the way.

But in a heartbreaking and unexpected turn, his time with us was cut tragically short when he passed away suddenly. We are still reeling from this loss, trying to come to terms with the fact that he is no longer with us.

Machiel was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who touched our lives in so many ways. He leaves behind 2 sons, 1 daughter, 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, all of whom will miss him dearly.

Our family now faces the overwhelming task of bringing him back to South Africa so he can be laid to rest beside his late wife, as he would have wanted. We are reaching out to those who knew and loved him, asking for your support in helping us cover the costs of repatriation and funeral expenses. Any contribution, no matter the size, would mean so much to us during this incredibly difficult time.
