Honor Matias Ayala: Support His Family
Donation protected
Matias Ayala was 23 years old when he was called to meet the Lord on 10/9/24. He was courageous and strong as he faced a serious cancer diagnosis for the past 2 years. Through many rounds of chemotherapy, radiation and surgery, he never lost his will to fight this disease head on.
Perhaps it was due to his training as an Army soldier that he confronted this battle so bravely. Perhaps it was the constant love and support he received from his family and friends especially his parents Marta and Arturo and brother Arturo Jr.
When first diagnosed, he was more worried about how his mother was feeling than how he was. He was never left alone for a single minute. Perhaps it was the thousands of prayers from people all over the world, especially those in his homeland of Paraguay.
Perhaps it was the hundreds of doctors, nurses, social workers, chaplains, therapists and aides that had the honor of caring for him and grew to really love him in the hospital.
Matias touched everyone he met along the way in his journey with illness. Even as he was leaving this world, he shared his peace, his reassurance, his smile and his love with those around him.
Those that knew him and his family would do anything to ease their pain and burden at this time of extreme grief. He has left a huge void in all their lives. Matias deserves a beautiful and heartfelt celebration of life as he is laid to rest. Please find it in your hearts to help his family with this final wish as they have struggled financially in order to be present to Matias in these last few years. Whether you knew him or not, please know you are making a big difference in helping this family in their time of sorrow and that Matias is smiling down and saluting you.
