Dear Friends, Family, and Kind-Hearted Supporters,
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Merilyn, who has departed after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Her life was a reflection of her unwavering dedication to serving others.
Merilyn’s love and care reached not only her immediate family but also her friends and extended family across the world, including her relatives in Cebu. Her generosity and compassion knew no bounds, as she constantly helped those around her in times of need.
As her illness progressed, only her immediate family—her daughter and son-in-law—could provide the care she needed. Despite the countless lives she touched, many were unable to offer support during her last months.
Merilyn’s late husband, C. David Tom, was a proud United States Veteran who served in the Korean War. Unfortunately, he never accessed VA benefits, which meant Merilyn did not receive the care or military services that might have eased her final journey.
We are now seeking your support to celebrate Merilyn’s life and to help bring her to Ohio, where she can rest alongside her late husband. Any contribution, no matter how small, will assist in honoring her memory and ensuring she is remembered with the dignity and respect she showed so many throughout her life.
