My name is Alice Mullen-Rusin, and I am the President of Swarm Basketball, the organization where Mike Babul dedicated many years of his life, inspiring and uplifting countless families in the Metro West area of Massachusetts. Mike was more than just a colleague; he was a dear friend, a mentor, and a constant source of positivity in the lives of everyone who had the privilege to know him.
As we have witnessed in the outpouring of love and tributes across social media, Mike's impact reached far beyond our local community. His kindness, energy, and generosity of spirit touched not only the hundreds of families he worked with directly but also countless others across the region and even nationally. Mike was larger than life, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him for many years to come.
In lieu of flowers, we would like to ask for your support in helping to establish the Michael Babul Memorial Fund, which will provide educational scholarships, youth basketball program tuition assistance, coaching education, and raise awareness for heart health.
Mike’s legacy will live on through the lives he touched, and with your help, we can ensure that his positive impact continues to inspire future generations.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Mansfield Fieldhouse (formally referred to as the MPlex), 31 Oxford Road, Mansfield, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in his honor by the Reverend David A. Costa on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 11:00 AM in Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church (Transfiguration of the Lord Parish), 14 Park Street, North Attleboro, MA. Interment will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, 359 Daggett Avenue, Pawtucket, RI. Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend.
