Honor Nani's Memory, Aid Her Grieving Family

Today, we are starting this fundraiser in honor and remembrance of this amazing young girl. Her name was Vianka Grardine Castillo-Lopez, but was known by family and friends as Nani. Just days ago, she was celebrating her graduation from the 9th grade, which is a special occasion here in Panamá.

We were just flying in from the US and were so looking forward to spending time with our family here in Panama that we only get to see every few years. We were all going on a small vacation together near Mariato, Panama. Unfortunately, our time together was cut short by a tragic accident on New Year's Eve. All of the kids were having a great time, playing and dancing to Just Dance on the TV. We were all preparing to stay up and celebrate the new year together when Nani fell. We did everything in our power to save her, but help was too far away and local resources were not adequate. Nani passed away on the way to the hospital.

We ask that you please pray for her immediate family as they are going through a pain that I cannot even imagine. We are all deeply saddened by this tragedy, as we lost a very special soul and someone very near and dear to us. If you are able, please consider donating to help her family through this time.
