Honor Officer Mitchell: Help Us Attend Memorial

HONOR OUR FALLEN HERO: OFFICER JAMAL MITCHELL

The Minneapolis Police Foundation is organizing this fundraiser seeking funds to assist fellow officers to attend National Police Week in Washington DC, allowing them to attend the memorial service for Officer Mitchell.

Each year, the Fraternal Order of Police holds a solemn service at the U.S. Capitol to honor both the bravery and the sacrifice of fallen officers across the nation, including Minneapolis Police Department’s Officer Mitchell, who recently lost his life in the line of duty in Minneapolis, MN in May 2024.

National Police Week offers remembrance, honor, and peer support to those closest to Officer Mitchell. It also allows citizens to gather and pay homage to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. The memorial service will take place on Thursday May 15th, 2025, on Peace Officers Memorial Day. During this event, Officer Mitchell’s name will be read aloud as survivors receive the post humous FOP Medal of Valor.
