Honor Papa John: Support His Military Funeral

Hi, my name is Cheyene, and I’m the granddaughter of John Allen (also known as Papa John). Papa John very suddenly and very unexpectedly passed away sometime between Friday night, July 19, 2024, and Saturday morning, July 20, 2024.

He was a Vietnam army veteran with a very loving and kind soul, and would give you the shirt off his back!

I’m trying to raise funds for his funeral/memorial service and give him the right and proper burial for him that is all out military style for him. He was also really big into motorcycles and Harley Davidson and I would really like to somehow add that to his service.

We are looking into a couple of weeks, on a Friday, to have his service in Houston at a military cemetery for about 20 minutes.

He wasn’t the kind of person to ask for money, or a hand out, but would help you out in a heartbeat!! Unfortunately my father, Samuel Owens, is doing this pretty much by himself and he needs the help to get funds for this very unexpected cost as he himself is not in a very good financial state either.

Anything donated would be highly appreciated and we would be highly grateful for anything, even if it’s just a $1.

I, Cheyene, do have other ways you can donate or you can make a direct payment to the funeral home if that’s easier or better for you.
