Honor Pastor Kleyton: Help His Sons' Future
Donation protected
It is with profound sorrow and deep love that we share the passing of Pastor Kleyton Feitosa, who bravely fought a 13-year battle with cancer. Kleyton was not just a pastor, but a devoted husband, father, and a faithful servant of God. His life touched countless hearts, both locally and globally, through his powerful words, his unwavering faith, and his dedication to spreading God’s message of hope and love. We at the Living Word Seventh-day Adventist Church were particularly blessed by his ministry for six years until 2023.
Kleyton never sought attention for his own needs during his many years of struggle with cancer. However, we can celebrate his life and legacy by contributing to this GoFundMe campaign to support the education of his two beloved sons. His greatest wish was for his children to have the opportunity to pursue higher education, and it is in honor of his legacy and his love for them that we ask for your support. Derek (20) is currently a junior studying computer engineering at Andrews University. Malton (18) is graduating high school in December and is preparing to study physical therapy also at Andrews University. The funds raised will go directly to help with their college tuition and future endeavors, ensuring that Kleyton’s unwavering commitment to his family continues to thrive.
In the following paragraphs, we share more about Kleyton’s story and his impact on his family, community, and the worldwide church. You can also learn more about his life and ministry in this interview for the Adventist News Network (ANN) Profiles.
Kleyton’s journey with cancer was one of immense strength and resilience. Diagnosed with myxoid liposarcoma at the age of 36, he faced numerous challenges with grace and determination. Despite the physical toll of his condition, including a leg amputation (learn more here), Kleyton never let his battle with cancer define him. He carried himself with peace, wisdom, and a spirit of encouragement. His positivity was infectious, and he always made others feel heard and loved, asking them, “How are you doing?”—even when his own battle was far from easy.
Throughout his journey, Kleyton continued to inspire others through his blog, sharing his story with the world. He was transparent about his struggles, but he was always determined to uplift others, reminding them that God had a message to deliver through him. He was a living testament to the power of faith, perseverance, and the strength to overcome adversity. His message was simple yet profound: We will see him again. It was a truth he repeated often, reminding us that this earthly separation is only temporary.
Kleyton was a man of wisdom, and his sermons had a unique way of connecting with people of all ages. Even children grasped the depth of his words, and his impact reached far beyond his congregation. His mission was global, and he truly believed that God had a purpose for him that stretched across borders and into the hearts of people all over the world.
We will never forget the peace, love, and wisdom that Kleyton shared with us. His faith in God never wavered, and his strength in the face of adversity continues to inspire us all. Though we mourn his passing, we take comfort in knowing that his spirit lives on through his teachings, his family, and the countless lives he touched.
As we remember Kleyton, let us hold on to the promise of Revelation: We will see him again. Until that time, may we carry forward the lessons he taught us—of love, resilience, and unwavering faith in God’s plan for us all.
Please keep Kleyton’s wife, Delma Feitosa, and their sons, Derek and Malton Feitosa, in your prayers. Your support during this difficult time means more than words can express. Thank you for honoring Kleyton’s life and legacy with your generosity.
