Support for Paul Marks' Final Goodbye

Hi,

I'm Jennifer Underwood Marks, and I've been married to Paul Marks for almost 5 years. He has 2 beautiful daughters, aged 16 and 17 years old. My stepdaughters are the bravest girls I know.

Paul has always been healthy as an ox, always worked 60-70 hours a week. My husband was a great provider in all forms and was only 38 years old.

Out of nowhere, we found him on the living room floor shaking and basically incoherent. We immediately called 911. He was rushed to an emergency room in Baton Rouge where they determined he had multiple strokes back to back, 2 of which were very large and hit the part of his brain that controls his speech, vision, and the ability to understand and comprehend things.

He has an infection in his heart that caused the strokes with blood clots. He was on a ventilator, can't speak, and has no movement on the right side of his body and brain.

His kidneys have now shut down completely and he's on a dialysis machine 24/7.

The ICU doctor and Hospice came to me and said he will definitely not make it any further than the next 24 hours.

I'm the Director of Marketing with Urban Air Adventure Park in Denham Springs, but I have not been back to work since day 1 of him being in the hospital. I have no paycheck this go around, which means I literally don’t have the funds.

My husband was a great father, a great husband, a great friend, and everything in between.

I can't fathom the idea of not giving him a proper burial or cremation.

I'm not asking for all the money in the world, even a penny would help. Please help his daughters and I give him a proper final goodbye as he enters heaven.
