Honor Pete and Grace Purpura: Support Funeral Costs

Pietro (Pete) Purpura was a loving father, grandfather, dog dad, and husband to the love of his life, Grazia (Grace) Purpura
Pete was a man who was young at heart, and always loved to joke around. Some of his favorite things included making homemade wine, spending time with his family and his dog Valentina who was always by his side right up until his final moments.
Many people knew him by being the owner of Pete’s Pizza, an Italian restaurant, for over 45 years. He greeted everyone who came to eat with a handshake and a smile, just as he would at his own home. He always offered wine and good hospitality.
Grace was the kindest soul. A loving mother, grandmother and dog mom. She loved everything red, especially flowers, knitting and Family Feud. You would always catch her smiling and laughing with her children, grandchildren, and of course husband Pete. She loved her family more than life itself and so did Pete.
Both Grace and Pete were selfless people. Always giving and expecting nothing in return. They truly had hearts of gold.
The love that Pete shared with his wife, Grace, was unlike any other. Their love was truly something from a movie or possibly a dream, a true representation of loyalty, honor, and compassion. Pete and Grace were inseparable, some might even say attached at the hip. They enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, as long as they were together, from Walmart trips, farmers market, or going to Pete's Pizza. No matter the journey or destination, they were always together and they were always laughing, smiling, kissing, and holding hands.
While surrounded by his family, one of the things Pete said before he passed was that he was taking his wife to heaven with him and he did. He didn’t want to leave this world without her. In their final days Pete and Grace laid alongside each other in their home. With family by their sides, Pete passed away on August 28th and Grace on September 4th, exactly a week apart which was also the date of Pete’s viewing. Family remained by her side the whole time providing endless love during her final days.
They made a promise over 60 years ago on their wedding day “through sickness and in health, til death do us part” but not even death could separate them. They will forever be together in heaven.
Both their viewings were held together on September 4th at Our lady of Mount Carmel Church and the burials were the following day.
In this difficult time, the Mangiapane and Purpura family are asking for your help in commemorating Pete and Grace Purpura.
The funds raised will significantly help ease the burden of covering funeral expenses including the viewing, caskets, burial, flowers and other associated costs. Your help and support would allow us to grieve the loss of our beloved family members during this overwhelming time. Any contributions would be greatly appreciated.
