Honor Peter Tear's Memory with Support for his Family

Peter K. Tear, 37, of San Gabriel, California, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at St. Francis Medical Center. Born on March 18, 1987, in Pasadena. He was a devoted partner, loving father, and a loyal friend, known for his infectious smile and warm spirit.

Peter is survived by his significant other, Michelle Lee, and their two beautiful daughters, Arianna and Aolani. Peter was a cherished son of Jimmy Meng and Annie Taing. He is also deeply mourned by his older sister, Kim Baron (Chris); and his older brother, Casey Tear (Alyssa). He leaves behind his nephews, Max and Zander, and his niece, Lana, all of whom adored him.

A proud graduate of Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, Peter had an unwavering passion for cooking and took joy in sharing meals with his family and friends.

Peter's journey was not without its struggles; he fought against addiction and the darkness it brought. Though he faced many challenges, his resilience and hope inspired those around him. We believed in his strength and were hopeful that he would overcome his battles, but unfortunately, addiction took him from us far too soon.

While words cannot express the depth of our sorrow, we will forever cherish the memories we shared and the love he brought into our lives. We would have given anything to keep him here with us.

A funeral service to honor Peter's life was held on Saturday, October 12th at Universal Chung Wah Funeral Chapel in Alhambra.
