Honor Randall Yaunke: Help with Cremation
Donation protected
My name is Emily and I am raising funds for my amazing, funny, strong-willed grandpa, Randall Yaunke. On November 13th, 2024, he went peacefully and lost his battle with stage 4 Hodgkin's lymphoma. I am raising money for his cremation costs to help my grandma as they were on a set income. Through it all, he was so strong and fought with all his might and still maintained his humor and generosity with his friends and family. He messed with his hospice nurse and social worker and gave them silly nicknames (The sea hags). They grew to love it and they absolutely loved him. He made everyone laugh and smile who came around him, even when he was as sick as he was, he still tried to take care of others around him. He was the person that would give someone his last dollar and shirt off his back. Randy was a huge animal lover, enjoyed nature walks, and back in the day loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
I took care of him from the day of his diagnosis until the day he passed on, as I'm a caregiver for a living. When he became ill, I stepped up and decided I was going to do all I could for him. Ironically, when I was a teenager, he paid for my CNA classes, so my skills came in handy taking care of him, and I thank God for that everyday now. I never had my real father around, and my grandfather stepped up to that role and taught me valuable life lessons: how to be a strong woman, to be a hard worker, and to treat people with respect. He never liked asking others for help but I know he would want me to help my grandma so that's what I'm doing now, reaching out for help.
To those who donate, Thank you from the bottom of my heart as it will help out my family and I tremendously. By the grace of others if we reach our goal and go over, all of the proceeds will go towards a celebration of life for him as he did not want a formal funeral. God bless you.
