Honor Red: Help with Memorial Expenses
Donation protected
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our friend and family member, Ronald Liese, who left us unexpectedly on Saturday, November 2nd after a sudden stroke at age 68.
This loss has shaken us deeply, as Ron, more commonly known as Red, gave so much of himself to the people around him. He was a natural giver. He gave his skills to friends and strangers needing remodeling or carpentry, whether it be updating a bathroom or building your home. He gave whole-body laughs at every opportunity. When they were younger, he gave his three boys and their friends their own kingdom called "Lieseland", where everyone was welcome, where everyone was part of the family. He gave his time and his energy to his five grandkids, whom he adored. He gave the Packers his endless devotion, though there were many tough years. He gave a smile to anyone he greeted. He gave his wife a true teammate for 46 years, and amazingly, he a completed her "Honey Do List", just weeks before his sudden passing. He gave so much to others, that he often didn't give himself the time to putz around in his garage, as much as he would have liked. And, if he knew you, it's likely he gave you something, too.
In the wake of his sudden passing, I am organizing funds on behalf of his wife, Karin, to celebrate Red and what he gave to us while we were lucky enough to have him with us. As this loss was so sudden, we are kindly asking for support in covering the unexpected costs of his memorial services; any additional funds will assist in covering the medical bills that incurred while he remained at Yale New Haven hospital. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help ease the financial burden for Karin (my Auntie Ebba) during this already difficult time.
