Honor Remy's Memory with a Riverside Park Bench

Amanda and I are overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible support and outreach we've received over the last few days. It’s clear that we’re not the only ones hurting from the loss of Remy—she was loved by so many of you.
Remy was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma on October 4th, an aggressive form of cancer that is unfortunately common in the Golden Retriever breed. Her prognosis was poor, but because it was Remy, we hoped she could defy the odds once again. Despite enrolling her in a Yale clinical trial and providing various herbal supplements and home-cooked meals, this was the first medical battle that Remy couldn’t pull through. We said our final goodbyes in true Remy fashion, enjoying pizza and ice cream on Thursday, November 14th.
In Remy's memory, we would like to raise funds to purchase a bench at her favorite place, Riverside Park, where she played "Glowball" (aka fetch) every day, celebrated many themed birthday parties, and took her daily walks with her "friends." We hope this bench will serve as a special place for everyone to visit and remember her for years to come.
If we exceed our goal of $7,500, any additional funds will be donated to the Canine Cancer Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to remarkable research aimed at finding cures for cancer in dogs.
Your support means the world to us, and we sincerely appreciate your help in honoring Remy’s memory. Thank you in advance for your kindness.
With love,
Daniel and Amanda
