Funeral And Service for Robert Bates
Donation protected
Robert W. Bates, a beloved father, grandfather, Korean War veteran, and talented artist, touched countless lives during his 91 years. Born on February 8, 1933, he lived a full life of service, creativity, and family devotion before his passing on January 7, 2025. Married to the love of his life, Barbara, for nearly 70 years, their legacy includes six children, 12 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
While the military will assist with certain funeral expenses, we face additional costs of $5,000 for a casket and related expenses. Any contributions will help us give Robert the dignified farewell he deserves at Bushnell National Cemetery, where he will rest beside his wife.
Known for his warm hugs, big stories, love of golf, and artistry, Robert was a pillar of strength and joy. Let’s come together to honor his memory and ease the burden on our family during this time of loss.
Thank you for your support. Every donation means the world to us.
